By participating in The Kennedy Center Autism SpectRUN, you will help children with autism and their families by supporting the programs and services provided by The Autism Project. In just ten years, The Autism Project has touched the lives of more than 500 families providing social activity groups and a host of other important programs that give children with autism CONFIDENCE, CONNECTIONS AND A COMMUNITY to thrive.
This year’s SpectRUN is in memory of a past staff member, Emma Genster, who as the Youth Autism Services Coordinator, played an important role not only in developing the Social Activity Programs, but also in creating a special place for the children to feel safe, make friends and just be themselves. Emma passed away last fall after a long battle with cancer. She would be happy to know that we are running for her and her kids.
